Ben is a Partner and Solicitor-Advocate, in the dispute resolution team, which enables him to represent clients in civil court hearings throughout England and Wales.
A significant amount of Ben’s practice relates to the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, where he provides legal advice and support:
To GPs and other primary care providers (together with their representative committees) in connection with:
issues with primary care contracts and ICBs;
internal partnership disputes;
disputes with third parties;
regulatory difficulties and conduct issues; and
insurance coverage issues.
To pharmaceutical distributors, and their responsible people, in connection with disputes arising from GDP issues and actions of the MHRA.
The other main part of Ben’s practice focuses on commercial and business disputes, both domestic and overseas, and he has considerable experience in handling:
commercial litigation and contractual disputes;
partnership, LLP and shareholders’ disputes;
professional negligence claims; and
corporate insolvency matters.
Ben works closely with his clients to assess and resolve their disputes, whether through court proceedings, arbitration, mediation or negotiated settlement.
Ben is also the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), through which role he supports the firm and those engaged within it to comply with their legal and regulatory requirements, to uphold professional and ethical standards generally, and to optimise performance.
