About Us

Founded in 1875, Laytons ETL is a commercial law firm providing integrated, relevant and practical advice to both UK and international clients. Investing time in building lasting relationships and a good understanding of our clients’ affairs, we have a value-led approach to the provision of legal services which include corporate & commercial law, intellectual property rights, employment law, immigration law, commercial property, dispute resolution, litigation and tax.

Legal services of true quality depend on expertise that fully appreciates the issues, imagination that fully recognises the possibilities, judgment that provides guidance, and the resources and commitment to deliver results.

In particular, we seek to ensure:

  • strong initial analysis of each new matter to set the best strategy for dealing with it

  • that we are both clear on the desired outcomes

  • effective management of matters to ensure appropriate resources are applied

  • clear and unambiguous value pricing

  • regular progress reports

Diversity

We believe that a diverse workforce contributes to the success of our firm.  We recognise that people differ in ways that are obvious such as age, gender, ethnicity and physical appearance, as well as in ways that are less so, such as education, religion, sexual orientation, social background, personal experiences and perspectives.

At all stages of recruitment and employment we ensure there are equal opportunities and treatment regardless of age, sex, marital status, race, religion, colour, ethnic or national origins, sexual orientation or disability.

Set out below are some examples of the diverse nature of our firm.
